Monarch Family Services strives to compassionately and professionally deliver value-added services in an effort to improve the lives of children and strengthen families. Because we recognize every child and family travel different and unique paths in their journey toward wholeness and empowerment, our agency is family-focused and provides integrated comprehensive services across the family services continuum.
In an effort to preserve and reunify families in crisis, Texas Child Protective Services (CPS) offers two programs, Family Based Safety Services (FBSS) and Conservatorship. Both programs provide family service plans, which present recommendations and guidelines meant to allow children to remain or return home safely. According to a DFPS 2015 Data Report, 58% of the families receiving services from FBSS successfully completed their service plans and their cases were closed. Almost 3,000 children were removed from their homes that were under the FBSS plan and transferred to conservatorship. Through the conservatorship program, 65.2% of families successfully completed services and children were returned to their biological parent(s).
